From our friends in New Jersey

The second biggest international marijuana holiday, the Global Marijuana March (GMM), landed on Saturday, May 2, 2015. Launched in the late-1990s, GMM demonstrations have taken place in hundreds of cities and countries. Under the East Coast Cannabis Coalition (ECCC), organizers from New York City, Delaware and New Jersey cooperated in hosting rallies in their respective states. NYC once again held one of the largest rallies on the East Coast, with nearly a thousand demonstrators participating in the “mask march” from 32nd Street to Union Square on 14th Street, where bands played on stage and demonstrators smoked in public without police harassment. Those leading the rally included Occupy Weed Street member Solomon Seagal, who danced with others in his underwear, and Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP) founder Jack Cole. For Delaware’s second annual GMM protest, over a hundred persons marched in…

5 things you need for a pillow fight
1- Pillows
For it’s seventh year the International Pillow Fight day took place in Washington sq on April 4th. I was worried it may be a bit cold, but the weather showed promise of warmth after the brutal February the swept through the North East.
2- dress up
I grabbed an extra sized Free Hugs hoodie and stuffed a couple couch pillows in it. I also put on my stretchiest pants and stuck a pillow down the back. Who said I have a fat ass?
It’s always good to dress to the occasion, and if it’s a wacky occasion wacky dress up is required! Costumes, outfits, nightgowns, what is the limit of imagination?
3- friends
Meet up with friends! An experience isn’t worth having if you don’t have people to experience it with. I met up with them right when the pillow fight was about to begin. We were all wearing large clothing with pillows stuffed in them, the fat-ass gang was ready! We even had snacks to through into the crowd.
4- Weirdness
Matthew Silver hit people with pillows? Bane from the Dark Knight? Spider man? Korra? Bring your weirdness and share it
5- Medicine
Ok, maybe this isn’t something you need, but by Goddess it help! Sitting around in our own after party smoking and talking about everything between spirituality and science.
When you speak to yourself in your head, if the voice is you, who is listening? Who or what is it looking through your eyes and observing all that is within you? Can you even give it a name?
You have to be a fool to believe in this stupid “love” stuff!
Do I really need to be that much of a fool to believe in Love? Love makes the world go round, love is what keeps things running.
True, the love that rules this world is not a love of sunshine daisies.
The love of money, for one, is what keeps many big businesses going. The love of material things, possession, consumerism, that love of more.
It’s easy to love things. You can hold them and play with them. You can show them off to other people and gain respect and admiration.
It isn’t easy to love people. People let you down and betray you. People break their promises and disagree with you. People can do horrible things to you and some probably have already! It’s not easy to love them.
Yet love is what drives us. Love is what keeps you going. If there is nothing you love you have nothing to live for.
If you have something to love you have something to live for. When you strive for something you love your life gains meaning and purpose.
What do we love then? Material objects, those are fleeting and finite. People are fickle and unreliable.
Instead, love an idea
Love a feeling
Love a vision
LOVE THY SELF!
It is when we find love for our self that we can find love for other people and things.
Have you seen these weird stickers on the subway?
Have you seen these stickers in the New York City subways?
Yeah, I’ve seen them on the L train.
It’s always interesting when you see little bits of art scattered everywhere. Little unique surprises that make this city a little more enjoyable.
This is what I overheard last night at a party.
The Asylum Manor was a riveting experience of a house party at the heart of hipster central Bushwick. The who’s who of a scene that defies explanation yet is defining the fast growing Brooklyn culture as a myriad of millennial generation, philosophy, new thought and pure burning-man artistic expression.
“It’s about empathy, and it’s about being centered, empty, conscious and still. I can do it at any time with anyone.” he says, dressed in polished high heel black stilettos and a billowing cream wig.
Empathy, consciousness, creativity.
If you have all three you can do wonder. That is what they told me as they sat and prepared Medicine on one of the No More Drug War flyer for the May 2nd Parade and Reefer Rally, a perfect use for it if you ask me.
And sometimes we need more consciousness in our lives. The Third Eye Ceremony might be quick and easy, but it is effective in bringing you to centered balance in all aspects of our lives. Entity, a creative and artistic genius, had been experience some trouble maintaining balance and has hurt her leg several times.
To perform the sacred Three Breath Meditation and Third Eye Ceremony I place a sacred eye on your forehead while you place your right hand over your heart and your left hand over your stomach. You then take three sacred breaths, each one deeper than before.
It is a simple practice, but it centers you, brings you closer to your self and opens you up to the Light.
NJ SPRING SMOKE-OUT (3-21-15)
Thank you so much to Kyle Moore, Vanessa Maria, Jo Anne Zito, Jeremy Santos, NJ Weedman and everyone else who help organize this amazing events!
New Jersey marijuana activists organized a state-record turnout of at least 350 demonstrators on March 21, 2015, for the “NJ Spring Smoke-Out.” Organized by Kyle Moore, Vanessa Maria, Jo Anne Zito, Jeremy Santos and NJ Weedman, the marijuana demonstration served as the third and largest one in the state over the past year. On April 20, 2014, nearly 150 persons attended “Stoner Day: Confront Christie’s Cannabis Policies,” and on October 18, an estimated 250 persons came out for the “NJ Cannabis Conference.” If the pattern of growing protests continues, then Governor Chris Christie may face thousands of demonstrators during his presidential election campaign in 2016.

The large turnout on March 21 can be credited to the wide coalition building and inter-state cooperation among marijuana organizations. For the first time in history activists from New Jersey, Delaware…

Fading
Just keep killing!
just keep on killing
cause that’s what humans do…
Why does this have to be true?
I just don’t get it
I try to forget it
but my (Minds) EYE won’t let it.
I don’t want to watch existence at a distance
but I see… I notice… what humans are doing to their minds, bodies, and souls…
watching them all trying to resist losing control
watching the toxic chemicals-taking its toll as they roll down and down and down and down to the bottomless hole…
FADING…
I watch until they have fallen so deep in to the darkness…below….
everything is pitch black…
I watch… everyone is gone…
No hope
no light
no memory…
total blackness…
NOTHING…
to live… for…
no reason to open a window
because their is nothing on the other side
and no light to shine through
so i watch and notice existence at a distance…
FADING AWAY….
then a spark glittered…
our minds eye began to shimmer…
sudden flashes of
enlightenment…
flourished throughout every universe
every cell…
ever particle…
every dimension…
we realize we are our own little inventions…
and we can transform anything in an instant…
with our thoughts…
with our words…
with our actions… reactions…
We realize that is is WE:ME:YOU:EYE that create our existing reality : EXPERIENCE…
rainbows and true happiness….pure bliss….
ENLIGHTENMENT!
IMAGINE
a pure beautiful world…
beautiful people…. creatures…
clean water…
children full of wonder and hope…
bright futures…
healthy minds….bodies….and souls…
we are awakened….we are alive!
we are RIZING!
WE ARE
SHINING
as ONE…
pulsating
bio-luminescent multicolored light
our hearts begin to take flight….
flying through our dreams…
we are the pure vibrating envisioned in the darkness we all experience the Light
Welcome back
Blending worlds
Blending realities
Blending portals
Dreaming of dreams we once dreamt…. many life times ago
living in this present moment
trusting your winged heart
asking the universe for signs, patiently
They instantly appear right before your holographic eyes
you realize you are not alone and you never were
invisible dimensions are guiding you
providing you with exactly what you need
To keep going…
to keep flowing…
to keep believing
that everything is perfectly divine and right on time.
Every choice is an opportunity to grow… to glow
to know that you are protected… connected
as long as you have pure intentions
the Light will respond in a loving nurturing way…
Ignore any negative voices that try to get in your way…
when this happens…kneel down by a magical tree and prey…
say,”thank you light, thank you darkness…for you both teach me so very much…
Truth…wonder…mystery…
Be still now feel the gentle touch from your angels…your ancestors…
our worlds are blending
our dreams are weaving
our thoughts are manifesting
our souls are connecting
our cells are reflecting
so dance the dream
spin within the sea of galaxies…
open your eyes
open your mind!
WELCOME BACK!
They draw walls around you to trap you
They draw their walls around you to stop you, to trap you,
to keep you from seeing them, seeing what they do.
Yet the tunnels are already built underneath for your escape.
I was trapped tonight, in the lions den, in the belly of the beast
left to the mercy of an enemy that did not know what it had
clasped in the claws, to scared to fight, to still to breath
to flinch was to give up the Sacred Spirit I held in secret
just out of arms length, in the enemy’s reach
and the fear did boil within me, that the Sacred Spirit may be revealed and all would be lost
But I did not flinch, I did not stutter. When questioned I did not betray
I held on to the Light in the shadow of death, and the Light did prevail
and free did I walk, to breath and to wonder
and continue to spread the Keys to the Light
And lo on the journey home did I meet a fellow traveler of the Spirit,
and all doubt was removed to Light my path
